New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

Five New Ulm players were named to the nine-man All-Journal baseball team as announced today. Five more were named to the second team to give New Ulm more than half of the 18 positions selected.

First team honors went to Jason Shaul, Zach Hoffmann and Kaleb Jutenen from New Ulm High School and Colin Wendinger and Aaron Pfaff of New Ulm Cathedral. Second team included Drew Pfaff, Kevin Larson, Aaron Wenninger and Erich Prokosh of Cathedral and Nate Miller of Minnesota Valley Lutheran.

Among the six receiving honorable mention wee Michael Schlotmann, MVL; Dan Blackstad, Cathedral and Shane Traulich, New Ulm.

Journal regular writers plus part-time staffers are involved in the selection.
