HOFFMANN ON HITTING SPREE

ALBUQUERQUE -- New Ulm's Jamie Hoffmann is tearing up the Pacific Coach League in the last four days.

Tuesday night he added home runs 17 and 18, three singles and a walk plus five runs batted in and 11 total bases in a romp over Salt Lake City at Albuquerque.

These gave the New Ulm outfielder 12 hits in the last 19 at bats. During that time he has also had 12 runs batted in and scored nine times. His spree meant a .676 average and a slugging percent well over 1000.

Tuesday night's spree added to his great week brought his average to over .300 again completely erasing a temporary funk he had going into August.

The Isitopes webside indicated Hoffmann's homers were a couple of real dingers. See the attachment.

Tuesday's game was a late-finish abreviated write-up in the Albuquerque Journal but this is what the paper said about the other big Hoffmann night Saturday: Click Here
