WASECA — The Waseca girls tennis team defeated the New Ulm Eagles 6-1 Sept. 27.

The lone defeat came at second doubles as senior Madi Zimmerman and junior Bailey Krueger lost 6-7(1), 7-5, (10-7). Outside of that the Bluejays cruised: Senior Hannah Flor won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles; junior Abby Collins won 6-1, 6-0 at second singles; senior Taylor Nelson won 6-0, 6-0 at third singles; and junior Shanly Nelson won 6-0, 6-0 at fourth singles.

Juniors Abbe Hoehn and Alicia Knoll won 6-3, 6-4 at first doubles, and sophomore Olivia McIntosh and freshman Maddie Muotka won 6-0, 6-1 at third doubles.
