No score reported?

When the "no score reported" comment follows a scheduled athletic contest in the daily scoreboard column, it means:

No score has been reported to the public print media (New Ulm Journal) or directly to this website.

Reporting of scores is the responsibility of the New Ulm team, normally through its athletic department or its' coaches. Scores may have been reported to non-local print media or local broadcast sources or may have been or will be reported to state and national websites such as Minnesota State High School League, MaxPreps or other possible sources.

While the normally accepted standard for responsibility of reporting belongs to the home team, when New Ulm teams play at sites who normally do not report to the Journal or New Ulm Sports Central, we do expect the result to be forward to us by the New Ulm schools or coaches in order that the seasons results may be historically archived.

Scores have been faithfully recorded for almost 100 years by dedicated volunteers. Today, however, some cases score reports are being ignored for some reasons by those responsible in today's athletic domains. Ultimately New Ulm Sports Central must be informed so the tradition may be continued. New Ulm Sports Central no longer attempts to chase down missing results since it is a public service to record the sports history of the New Ulm history and has no regular income for such purposes. NUSC is sponsored by Community Research Technology, Inc., and receives operating financial support from contributed memberships and other fund raising activities.
