New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

The move to create 15 different "sub-state zones" to replace the current alignment of districts has been explained by the American Legion baseball board. The present alignment of districts was set up in 1936 and based on congregational redistricting of generally equal population.

The Fall meeting keeps New Ulm Gold and Blue in the Sub-State 2 region along with Sleepy Eye, Mankato teams, and adds St. Peter and New Prague. Dick Mueller of New Ulm is the tournament director.

Division II will remain with the present format.

A the state level the tournament host will be the 16th team in a double elimination format.
