New Ulm Sports Central - Preserving and Sharing New Ulm Area Sports History

The 2013 induction of Minnesota State High School League baseball coaches Hall of Fame will include two with New Ulm area ties.

This link is of all New Ulm area persons selected to the Minnesota Coaching Hall of Fame.

Among those to be honored this year is Tarry Boelter, son of Don and Yvonne (Strate) Boelter. Don was an outstanding New Ulm athlete in basketball and baseball for New Ulm High School. He had outstanding coaching records for both sports as well. Don died Sept. 20, 2013, days short of being the first father-son team to be honored. Also selected is Wayne Dietz, a Gaylord High School graduate coaching at Woodbury. (Previously another Wayne Dietz with Sanborn and Hector connections was selected.

The banquet is scheduled Saturday, Oct. 26.
