New Ulm HALL OF FAME Member
Stan Dittrich
Non-Player (Board Member)
Selected 1999
Stan Dittrich is one of those "behind the scenes"
people and was
recognized for his contributions to local baseball as a non-player.
Stan did much to continue New Ulm's tradition as a strong baseball city.
Dittrich
joined the New Ulm Baseball Association as a board member in
1971 and went on to serve for nine years. In 1972 he was a league
delegate for both the Brewers and the Kaiserhoff teams, and he
later
served as the board's vice president for four years.
A
dedicated worker, Dittrich spent many days and nights working in the
concession stand. He was inducted into the New Ulm Baseball
Hall of Fame on the same night on which his son,
Bill, also entered the Hall. At that time it was the third
father-son combination to be inducted into the Hall.
