From the Bench
By Herb Schaper
Minnesota Baseball Greats Coordinator
Welcome
to "From the Bench" … our way to share the exciting things happening to this Minnesota
baseball Internet site. Minnesota Baseball Greats initially will
bring into focus the state's amateur baseball greats,
particularly the outstanding players of the 30's, 40's and 50's. Later we will
add facets of state baseball history from youth, college, senior leagues and the pros.
We wish to enhance the
history of the people and events which made baseball Minnesota's
great sport. We will accept nominations in the near future.
Hopefully we will make the first of the Great awards late in 2006 or
in 2007. We intend to record the detail of the many achievements
that wrote Minnesota baseball history.
Because of this site,
these achievements are always available 24/7 to any one in any place in the world.
This is a virtual Hall of Fame and a living museum thriving in cyber space.
From time to time we will
enlist your help in gathering information on the various players in
events whose records have for the most part been over-looked. Please
check the "Searching For" box below).
Send us anything that can help us make contacts to find that
history.
