          Robert Knight was honored by being selected to inaugural group of inductees to the New Ulm Baseball Hall of Fame during Johnson Park's 50th Anniversary celebration in 1989.

          Knight has retired from Kraft Foods of New Ulm and moved to Villa Grove, Illinois.

          Bob played for the New Ulm Brewers from 1953-1958 and was an outstanding centerfielder. He came to New Ulm as an outside player, but he soon made his home here before being transferred to Illinois. He managed the Millers for one season

           In 191 career games, Knight had a career batting average of .340 with 14 homers, 17 triples, 48 doubles, and 112 RBI.
