          Victor Sondag was honored by being selected to the inaugural group of inductees to the New Ulm Hall of Fame during Johnson Park's 50th Anniversary celebration in 1989.

          Sondag was nominated for his long and dedicated service to the New Ulm and state amateur baseball programs. He served as secretary and secretary-treasurer of the NUBA when it started in 1939. He also served 10 years on the Minnesota State Amateur board. Combining his New Ulm and state amateur service, he gave 24 years of his life to amateur baseball.
